ABOUT EAST SIDE TENNIS

HISTORY
Now celebrating our 41st season at Wagner Junior High School, the East Side Tennis Association (ESTA) is proud to be part of a long-standing community tennis tradition on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
In 1985, four full regulation outdoor courts and associated facilities were installed by New York Junior Tennis & Learning to provide free youth tennis programs for the community from April through October. These programs continue to serve local youth and remain central to our mission.
When free youth programming is not in session, ESTA manages court access for members and the public. Select hours are also reserved for instructional programs offered on a fee basis. These fees help cover court maintenance and administrative costs, while also generating meaningful support for the Wagner JHS Parent Association’s educational enrichment programs.
Today, ESTA features:
-
4 full-size outdoor tennis courts
-
2 Red Ball (10 & Under) courts
-
2 pickleball courts
We welcome players of all levels, from beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to advanced competitors. Whether you join on your own or with friends or family, you’ll find a friendly, inclusive tennis community and plenty of opportunities to play.

Eighty percent (80%) of your ESTA membership is considered a charitable contribution and may be tax deductible.
